What BPS Dentures Help With
BPS dentures may be considered when multiple teeth are missing or a complete dental arch requires replacement with a removable denture. They may also be worth discussing if you need a new complete denture or want to replace an existing one.
Rather than focusing only on replacement teeth, the BPS approach considers factors that influence fit, function and appearance, including supporting tissues, bite registration, tooth position, gum appearance, facial characteristics and functional movement.
How Are BPS Dentures Different?
BPS stands for Biofunctional Prosthetic System. Its distinguishing feature is a structured clinical and laboratory approach incorporating detailed functional and aesthetic records into denture fabrication.
This does not mean conventional dentures are automatically poor quality or that BPS dentures guarantee a perfect fit. Suitability, comfort and stability still depend on your individual oral condition and other anatomical and functional factors.

BPS Dentures and SEMCD Expertise
Founder and Principal Dentist Dr. Ooi Yee Sen is a Certified SEMCD Provider with a special interest in SEMCD and advanced denture care. SEMCD stands for Suction-Effective Mandibular Complete Denture and is particularly relevant to the different functional and anatomical challenges associated with lower complete dentures.
Our approach does not assume every patient will achieve the same retention, stability or comfort. Your individual anatomy and oral condition need to be assessed to determine what can realistically be achieved.
